Give A Minute and Help Make-A-Wish. You Can Help!!

Blame it on my {very} short sorority stint in college or perhaps my compassionate nurse's heart, but there's always been a side of me that loves to help others. AP the Philanthropist, if you will. Whatever the humanitarian cause at hand, there's a high degree of likelihood that I have stood or will stand behind it. 

In the past I've worked with many organizations including Unicef, the Salvation Army, the American Cancer Society as well as the American Heart Association to raise money for their very important causes. I've walked many miles, danced through the night, baked tray after tray of tasty treats and even hula-hooped my way to raise hundreds of dollars for each of these organizations. 

One of my favorite charitable organizations is the Make-A-Wish Foundation, an organization dedicated to granting the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses. Some of these wishes may be family vacations to Disneyland, attending the concert of their favorite country artist or even meeting their favorite celebrity. 


Want to know how you can help grant some wishes? Easy. It's called "Give A Minute, Help Make-A-Wish."

Right now, during every Saturday in September Straight Talk Wireless will donate $1 to Make-A-Wish for each person that visits their participating local Walmart and takes a minute to learn more about Straight Talk, a service provided by TracFone Wireless Inc., America’s largest no-contract cell phone provider in the U.S.

Straight Talk is available exclusively at Walmart and the cost savings of not having to maintain stores is passed directly on to customers. Straight Talk has all of the same great phones as the contract carries, including name brands like Samsung, Apple, Windows and LG, and they offer the same networks and the same phones at half the cost.

This is the second year in a row that Straight Talk is hosting this program. Why? Because they believe that there is nothing greater than granting a sick child's wish. Last year's program successfully reached their $1,000,000 donation mark and they are beyond excited to be a part of making that happen again this year. 

I know, I know what you're going to say. Not everyone lives near a Walmart but that doesn't mean you can't help! From now until September 28th, when you share the video on straighttalkwish.com, Straight Talk will donate $1 to Make-A-Wish, up to $100,000 (one donation per viewer, per day) towards their $1,000,000 goal. IT DOESN'T GET ANY EASIER THAN THAT!
