Photo Organization and Storage, As Easy as L-Y-V-E.

This post is sponsored by LyveHome

As both a mom and a photographer, I often feel this deep seeded need to document my kids' lives through pictures. If you were to look through the folders on my computer, you would find hundreds of thousands of images documenting everything from their first giggles to their first steps to their first days of school and everything (and I mean everything) in between.

What I'd rather not think about, however, is how many "first moments" I've missed as I've reached for my phone and opened up the camera app only to be met with "Not Enough Room To Take Pictures." I am not proud of myself but I will admit that I've muttered many a four letter word when greeted with that tiny little message. Every day I tell myself I will plug my phone into the computer to back up my pictures (and then back them up again to an external hard drive) and every day it gets pushed farther and farther back into the depths of my eternal "To Do List." As if photo organization is my number one priority with three kids under the age of five. I wish!

Thus begins a stressful game of Eenie Meenie Miney Mo as I quickly begin to determine which pictures and videos I can delete from my camera roll in order to make space for the new ones. Let's be honest for a minute with ourselves here. Videos are never, ever all but rarely deleted. That's pure gold right there! So it's the following internal debate that ensues:

"Do I delete the picture of the baby smiling the biggest smile he's ever smiled? Or do I delete the picture of the baby smiling just a little less smiley than the biggest smile he's ever smiled? The light is better in the second picture.. but his smile is much bigger in the first.. And his nose is doing that super cute wrinkly thing.. And.. And..."

As they say, "the struggle is real."

Now, of course there are many other moments when the capture in question will be repeated. I know my kids will continue to laugh and grow and try new foods with or without the camera in their faces but there's just something about capturing that very first newness on film that is so special.

Now that my pictures automatically sync with LyveHome, I don't have to worry about choosing which photos to delete to make room for the new ones. I don't have to worry about constantly backing up my photos from my phone to the computer and I don't have to search through numerous folders on my computer when grandparents stop by and ask to see pictures of their grandson's first giggle.

Now we gather around our LyveHome (or I pull up the Lyve App) and the entire first moments are immortalized right there. LyveHome is our perfect solution for collecting, protecting and rediscovering the family moments that mean the most to us. It is the ONLY cross-platform solution on the market today and with the Lyve app on both my phone and desktop computer, I can quickly and easily log in to manage and share my LyveHome photos.

Life shouldn't stop because your memory card is full. You shouldn't need to play Eenie Meenie with special family moments. With Lyve you can continue to capture your favorite moments knowing your photos and videos are automatically protected on your LyveHome from wherever you are. Lyve allows you to have one view of your entire collection, even photos and videos posted on Facebook, or those kept in cloud storage services like Dropbox, regardless of the space you have available on your mobile device.

Imagine: Hundreds of thousands of memories viewable on any size Android or iOS device. Just. like. that.

I love that Lyve thinks about keeping my photos and videos safe, sorted and accessible so that I can focus on living in and capturing the moment.

  2. I LOVE the fact that you can view your pics on your television, iPad or phone! Photos in traditional albums fade and yellow, but with this they will always look as good as the day they were taken!
