Riding With Safety And Style In The Evenflo Symphony DLX Car Seat

I participated in this sponsored campaign on behalf of One2One Network.
All opinions stated are my own.

It's no secret that with babies and kids comes lots and lots of equipment. From bucket seats, play yards and exersaucers when they're little to convertible car seats and tricycles during toddler-dom and booster seats and bicycles beyond that, one can easily get lost and overwhelmed at the prospect of having to "upgrade" their children's equipment during each milestone transition.

Especially when that upgrade involves choosing the right car seat.

Being responsible for choosing a product that is not only comfortable for your child to ride in but also the safest can be a bit intimidating considering all of the options out there on the market. Not to mention that it seems certain car seat guidelines change with the changing of the seasons.

I'm a fairly brand-loyal consumer. When I stumble across both a highly recommended and top-rated brand of baby product, I tend to stick with it. That said, sometimes our budget doesn't necessarily allow for repeated purchases of certain brands.

With baby Number Three due any day now, I knew we would eventually be in the market for a new convertible car seat/booster for toddler Number Two to transition into. I automatically assumed we would just purchase the same seat that we did for PreSchooler Number 1 a year or so before when it came time to transition him to a convertible car seat/booster but in order to do that, I knew I'd have to start saving my pennies like last month.

That's when I stumbled across the Evenflo Platinum Symphony DLX. I was immediately impressed with many of it's boasted features. Features such as NASA-developed Outlast Technology, a temperature regulating fabric that keeps babies and toddlers comfortable during hot and cold weather, buckle pockets that house the metal buckle clips to not only prevent those hot buckle burns but also eliminate the digging for any lost buckle clips and finally, the all-in-one capability of the seat to accommodate children ranging in weight from 5-110lbs making it, essentially, the only car seat one would ever need.

Now, go ahead and tell me that doesn't look like the Cadillac of infant and child car seats. When this seat arrived on our doorstep, I didn't waste a minute installing it into our brand new truck. Never mind that I was approximately fifty-seven weeks pregnant and chose to do so on a day that was one of the warmest we'd seen this year.

After briefly reading through the instruction manual, installation was a piece of cake. Using the forward facing latch system and SureLatch connectors, I had the seat installed within minutes. It easily reclined into second position with just a push of a button and the straps easily adjusted once I had my toddler sitting in the seat.

You'll notice in the pictures below that I removed most of the "newborn and infant padding" that came with the seat but kept the padding in the headrest for added comfort. Speaking of headrest, when it comes time to adjust it even further as Number Two grows, it can easily be adjusted with just one hand.

One last feature that truly impressed me was the energy absorbing foam liner of the seat that adds not only additional comfort but also safety protection. When compared to the touch and feel of the two previous car seats we owned, this seat knocked them both out of the water.

Number Two has been riding around both safely and stylishly in his new seat for a little over three weeks now and I think it's safe to say that he loves it as much if not more than I do! He happily climbs up into each time we take off on an errand or two and knowing that both pieces of my precious cargo are riding safely puts this mom at ease, giving me one less thing to worry about when we're out and about in the car.

Once again, I received this car seat free of charge in exchange for my honest review as expressed above.
